Driving Fun:- What does that even mean any more?
The new Audi RS4 Avant, as driven by the excellent Georg Kacher of CAR magazine (issue 600) has, as usual, a gargantuan list of tech in its inventory. And, despite this, it still apparently manages to be fun to drive. I've not driven an RS4 since the B5 generation, and the latest offering may well be Manna from Heaven for those who enjoy hauling their groceries at extreme speed But my question is thus: Would any of this driving fun be possible without that extraordinary list of expensive, heavy electrickery?

Driven #32:- Honda S2000
Note: I have also published the content below on Hooniverse.com
I'm not easily embarrassed. I can't afford to be, really; my height, Sideshow Bob feet, stupid hair and laughable fashion sense combined with my propensity for making stupid jokes make being thick skinned an essential defence mechanism. As a result, I can do things that are quite phenomenally idiotic because I don't fear looking a complete fool.
Usually.
On this beautiful sunny June day, I am in the company of a svelte, trim Honda S2000 roadster on a Sainsbury's fuel forecourt, but instead of enjoying all the envious glances, I wish the ground would swallow me up. For all my experience driving the good, bad and ugly, never before have I so comprehensively failed to open a fuel filler cap.

Driven #2:- Mercedes Viano.

Working at Mercedes, if a Sales enquiry comes in about the Viano, I tend to shrug my shoulders and pass the responsibility onto a commercial vehicles specialist a couple of miles down the road. We don't really deal with Vianos very often, they take up a lot of showroom floorspace, enquiry levels are low and they're a lot more expensive than people think.
Driven #1:- '96-'08 Ford Ka
2009s Ford “new” Ka was met with a universal shrug of ambivalence from the motoring press. A car widely acknowledged as being "nice". There were no fireworks released or front pages being held, Ford had released quite a nice car into a sea of quite nice cars. And as has been commented in numerous places, this is rather a shame.
